We stayed for 10 days, loved it. Great people and a wonderful place to take your family!!
We camped in a full hookup site in the shade in early May. Staff were friendly, site was clean, water to camper smelled but once you ran it for some time, the smell was gone. The campground is sound side. At low tide there is quite a bit of beach to enjoy. You can kayak (rent one on site or bring your own) over to the jetty and be right on Ocean Isle beach. The pool was nice and clean. The bathrooms were clean but could use updating. I would give them a 7 out of 10. UPDATE (6/17/17): Bath house, office, and laundry were all updated over the winter. Very nice! 5 stars! .....It is very convenient to Ocean Isle. We will be back. Edit: (6/2016) They are only renting full sun spots for daily rentals now. Was told by staff that you could call and request a shade spot and if it's available they will book you there but you can't do it online. UPDATE (6/17/17) The sun spots are nice and you catch a lot of breeze from the water way. The fishing Peir was updated. The dock to the beach now has a shower and foot wash station. We are really happy with what they have done to upgrade since last season.
No stars would be best from me. Just called to book a week and because my little pop-up camper is too old (2003) we are not good enough to stay at the family campground. I bought it used because I wanted to restore it for a fun project. All finished and it is beautiful, (wish I could post a pic) and we were told that they had had trouble with people like us(???)
Live it happy
Not very happy at the moment. It is 10:30 at night and there is very loud music coming from some type of campground beach party. This is making it very hard to sleep and we have to get up very early to leave in the morning. We also have two small children that are also trying to sleep. When I called the office to complain, I was very rudely informed that quite time is 11PM. This camp ground did serve it's purpose, however I am very underwhelmed with this place. Anyone that would give this place more than 3 stars, clearly has low standards. We will never come back here again.
